Balloon volleyball
Keep the balloon off the floor, over a string net.
You'll need
- A balloon
- String or a rolled towel
How to play
- Stretch a string between two chairs.
- Bat the balloon over the net.
- Count how many hits you can chain together.
- Make it harder: use only elbows.
Try saying this
“Can we keep the balloon up together? How shall we play?”
Your part
Be their teammate, not the referee. Let them change the rules and cheer whatever they invent.
If it stalls
- Play on the same team against the balloon. Cooperating beats competing.
- Switch to sitting down if the room feels too small.
Short on time? See how many hits you can get in one minute.
Why it's good for them: Gentle, slow-moving play builds coordination and teamwork without the stress of a fast ball.
