I spy
Spot something and give a clue, wherever you are.
You'll need
- Just your eyes
How to play
- Pick something you can see.
- Say ‘I spy with my little eye something that is...’ and give a colour or sound.
- Take turns guessing.
- Swap and let them choose.
Try saying this
“Can you give me another clue?”
Your part
Guess aloud and use their clue words. Choose easy objects when it is your turn.
If it stalls
- Use colours first, then letters.
- Point towards where to look.
Short on time? Three rounds each.
Why it's good for them: Describing what you see grows vocabulary and attention.
Not this one? Try memory tray, mystery bag, simon says.
