Teddy hospital
Check, bandage and care for poorly toys.
You'll need
- Soft toys
- Bandages or strips of cloth
- A toy doctor kit or spoons and a torch
How to play
- Set up a waiting room with a few poorly toys.
- Take a temperature and listen to a heartbeat.
- Bandage any sore paws or tummies.
- Send each patient home with advice.
Try saying this
“Doctor, my teddy has a sore paw. Can you help?”
Your part
Be the worried owner and describe the toy's symptoms. Follow their treatment, and let them be the expert.
If it stalls
- Hand over a plaster and say nothing.
- Make a sound effect for the pain and wait for the cure.
Short on time? Bandage one toy.
Why it's good for them: Caring for toys helps children work through worries about doctors and body feelings.
Not this one? Try indoor camping trip, playdough bakery, pretend café.
